What a Rad Pumpkin Ride!
Marin, CA | There are pumpkin rides and then there are PUMPKIN RIDES! (… or Headless Horseless Ride… or Halloween Ride… can we just pick a name here?) This year’s ride, on Wednesday, Oct 30th, was the best one we’ve been to in a long time. While we’d love to take credit, this ride is a Fairfax tradition and it so happens that a lot of A4Bers join in the fun each year.
For funsies, we asked ChatGPT to give us a moving bit of poetry that really captures the spirit of the evening.
Enjoy!

“In the cool October night, beneath a harvest sky,
We gather our wheels and our will to climb high.
With pumpkins aglow, perched atop our heads,
We light up the trail in orange and red.
Up Loma Alta we ride, in costume and cheer,
Following a path well-worn by those we hold dear.
The rhythm of laughter, the crunch of the ground,
And the hum of our tires as we climb up and down.
Sterling awaits us, with kegs standing tall,
To toast this ride, to savor it all.
A sip at the summit, a moment to rest,
In the heart of Fairfax, among friends, we are blessed.
Then down through the darkness, our bike lights aglow,
A line of bright riders, weaving steady and slow.
With pumpkins still glowing, our spirits alight,
Together we carve through the cool autumn night.“
