Women’s Group Mountain Bike Rides in the Bay Area

Marin is the birthplace of mountain biking, and Access4Bikes is the organization that maintains and builds many of the most popular mountain bike trails in Marin County.

If you’re a female or non-binary rider and are looking for other ladies to ride with, Access4Bikes now has women’s group mountain bike rides in Marin.

Our goal is to build a robust community of women who want to shred together, improve their skills, and gain confidence on the bike. We are now hosting monthly women’s mountain bike rides in Marin, with separate routes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders. (And trust me when I say the advanced rides are advanced - we go down some gnar!)

In addition to hosting group rides, our women’s group is also putting on women’s bike maintenance/mechanic clinics, movie nights (featuring lady shredders of course), trail work days, and even destination rides.

We had our first women’s mountain bike group ride in Marin on September 9th, and it was a blast!! The intermediate/advanced ride was on Tamarancho, which A4B maintains. Eighteen women came out and had an awesome time riding fast and challenging each other on Tamo’s tight switchbacks.
