Women’s Clinics are Popular as Ever!

November 2, 2024 | Once again, Brian Astell, friend of A4B and owner of Trailworks, led a group of passionate local mountain bikers through a fantastic free skills clinic! Gathering in Meawok Meadows at China Camp State Park, attendees started out learning about and practicing proper position (wide elbows, arch back, feet parallel) along with some ankle work (point and flex toes).

From there, things got fancy with riders practicing maneuvers to aid in getting the bike up and over obstacles and down gnarly terrain. First, getting the front wheel off the ground by dropping the body and heels down while rolling with the arms out, then practicing lifting the back wheel up by pointing the toes down. Finally, the riders were challenged to practice their timing as they went over sticks. It certainly was a work out!

Did you miss this one? We asked attendees how they heard about the clinic and many said either they or their partner subscribe to Access4Bikes newsletter. Are you subscribed? DO IT NOW!
